Darwin, Australia

Wow!  We are finally in Australia! It’s hard to believe that we have only 27 days left on this magical journey!

Darwin was more of a pit stop for us.  We were in desperate need of supplies and I needed something new to wear.  So bored with my clothes by now and this ship only offers mumus.  Anyway I found some cute skirts and Hank got a hair cut.  We were looking for lunch when he spotted a Vietnamese nail shop and that was all it took.  I got a fabulous pedicure for was less than the ship and a massage to boot!  We had Subway for lunch…..yum!  I know this sounds goofy to you guys but the glorious ship food is now almost tasteless.  Even the lobster. We stopped in a beautiful art store and found out about the local art painted on the wood products such as the digeridoo and the boomerangs.  We also found out how those items work.  My blowing of the digeridoo was lame but fun. FYI – you really need to wet and work your lips before attempting this venture! While were were walking back to the ship we saw an aborigine who looked just like the actor that played the old valet in “Quigley Down Under”.

Mark and Robin got back on the ship today after their fantastic stay in Bali…please see that blog for their report.

Hugs to all and more to come on our Outback adventure.
