Bali

Mark and Robin’s adventure to Bali, Indonesia

After flying a few hours from Singapore we landed in Bali and headed Hard Rock Hotel.

The beaches were beautiful, and it was really great to get inexpensive massages and mani/pedi’s on the beach.

We took a tour and visited memorable Bali points of interest. The things that impressed us were the Hindu Holy Water Temple and beautiful entrance doors to the private homes. We had the opportunity to experience a play sharing the Hindu folk traditions from the past, enlightening us to some of their religious beliefs and ceremonies.

Bali is loaded with dense, emerald green jungles and beautifully terraced rice fields. We also visited a volcano, located at 6,000 ft. towering over a gorgeous lake.

The people in Bali are very kind and welcoming of us. It reminded us of some of the great islands in the Caribbean.  We noticed that these people of Bali were extremely industrious and happy to be working. In fact the furniture etc that you buy from World Market or Pier One, just to name a few, is made here in Bali.
